About Me

Passionate about Procurement and Supply Chain Peter formed the consultancy with 30 years’ experience in the automotive, construction, building products and retail sectors.

A first-class honours degree from Nottingham Trent university was followed by 11 years at Lucas Industries (tier 1 automotive business) as Peter progressed through roles in manufacturing systems and management, planning, purchasing, ERP project management and new products. During his time at Lucas Peter qualified as a Chartered Engineer and became a member of the Institute of Purchasing and Supply.

Completing an MBA at Lancaster University Peter was appointed as Supply Chain Director in 1998 to Ultraframe PLC. Responsible for the Purchasing and supply chain strategy in a fast paced ETO / MTO multi-channel high growth market where he reduced lead-times by 50% and designed a logistics network with a best of breed WMS. Purchased costs reduced year on year through dual supply from Eastern Europe and China.

Peter moved on to become Group Supply Chain Director at Conex Banninger (IBP) managing teams across 6 countries servicing the building products sector to wholesale and retail customers. Managed a business transformation project involving outsourcing of manufacturing to China and the creation of local Chinese sourcing teams. Project managed a new warehouse in Poland following a review of European distribution.

Following a move to Australia Peter became the Global Procurement Officer at RWC responsible for the group procurement strategy, risk management, supplier selection, contract management and negotiations with extensive travel in the US, China and Europe. Working with long term colleagues in China Peter initiated and managed a start up sales activity in China.
